Arte Soleil

by Judith Ashley

This time of year can be overwhelming and therefore challenging as we navigate the potholes and sinkholes on the road through holidays to the end of this year. One of my recent blessings was being able to spend five days at a Writing Retreat on the Oregon Coast with Maggie Lynch and Jessa Slade, two authors I admire and respect.

In and of itself, that time away from the mundane of daily routine was inspiring.

Imagine crafting new words on a new novel with this view?

Imagine walking on the beach each day in the bright sunshine (yes, I wore dark glasses and didn’t need to zip up my heavy jacket or wear my windbreaker.

Imagine all the creative ideas and thoughts that flitted through my mind as I looked for special gifts from the sea. And do note that Jessa is able to walk on the beach and dictate her book…something I aspire to learn to do – someday.

Now that you’ve shared a mini-piece of my time at the beach, I’d like to invite you to visit a place where your own imagination can be inspired.
